What is Online Therapy?
Online Therapy is therapy provided by one of our therapist through a HIPAA compliant video chat through the internet. It is much like Face Time or Skype, but with specific privacy guidelines. You and your therapist have a face to face conversation through a video chat.
What do I need for this video chat?
You will need internet connection and any browser you choose. It can be your phone, ipad, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. There is nothing to download. You are directed to a specific website to meet your therapist online.
What issues is the therapist able to address through the video chat?
Your therapist has experience using online therapy and will be able to help you work through a number of issues, including: Trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, PTSD, Sexual abuse, Alcohol and Substance abuse, self-harm, teen issues, and many more.
Is Online Therapy covered through insurance?
For the majority of insurances, Online Video Therapy is covered. During Covid-19, all insurances have waived any prerequisites. The primary concern for insurance companies is the patient receiving needed behavioral health care. The cost is the same as an in-office visit.
Does Online Therapy really work?
Studies have shown that online therapy does indeed work. Your therapist is still able to assess body language, tone of voice, expressions, and body language.
Online Therapy helps lessen the fear of Coronavirus.
From the comfort of your own home, you can do therapy.
